Colour-change Garnet, faceted, Tanzania. 0.72 carat.

A colour-change garnet from tunduru, tanzania. The gem appears a smoky peach colour in daylight and fluorescent lighting, while under incandescent light it transforms into a dazzling raspberry red colour (see images 2 and 4). The stone is clean to the naked eye, with a series of very fine needle-like inclusions only visible under magnification (see image 5).
